In EADTU meeting, which was held in Hagen, Germany on 28th October 2015, İU’s membership application was accepted. Before the voting, İstanbul University Faculty of Open and Distance Teaching Faculty (AUZEF) Deputy Dean Assistant Professor Ahmet Ağır told about the educational activities that are done in the faculty. In his speech, it is expressed how AUZEF got over in a short period of time after its establishment.

Attending the meeting on behalf of Prof. Dr. Mahmut Ak’s place, İU Faculty of Medicine Academician Prof. Dr. İlhan İlkılıç indicated how this membership will be beneficial for both İU and EADTU. He highlighted that this membership will enable to happen both academic and scientific activies for both sides because international relation gains importance in İU.

In Hagen University, which is the first and foremost university in Europe and Germany, “Distance Teaching Conference” was held. In 29-30th October and along with the subject of the conference, new projects were introduced to the committee. The issues about new techologies and new approaches in distance learning were disputed via the specialists and implemantors in this field.
