First 3 Young Soloists From İU
9th Young Soloist Contest’s final ceremony was held in İzmir State Opera and Ballet Building. End of the competition, first three competitors were from İstanbul University State Conservatory Department of Opera
AJANS ÜNİVERSİTE
Final performances were evaluated by 4 Turkish and 3 foreign jurymen who are professionals in their fields. Student of İstanbul University State Conservatory Department of Opera, bass-baritone Uğur Yılmaz won the contest which gained audiences appreciation.
Young Soloist Contest consisted of three stages. Each of 6 students who advanced to final stage performed twice. Final performances evaluated by 7 jurymen who are professionals in their field in the contest whose championship award is 10.000 TL, second prize is 5.000 TL, third prize is 3.000 TL and Stage Performance Special Prize is 1.000 TL. While 10 competitors from 21 took part in semi-final, only 6 were able to advance to final.
Prizes Find Their Owners
Uğur Yılmaz took the championship award, Faik Mansuroğlu took the second prize and. Selin Uzun took the third prize. Necdet Aydın took the Stage Performance Special Prize and Dokuz Eylül University student Ceren Gamze Düşkün took the Honor Award. Foreign Education Scholarship Prize was considered worthy to Uğur Yılmaz too.
İU State Conservatory Department of Opera student Burak Kul won the third prize from Professionals Category in the same contest.
