Istanbul University leader in Turkey in field of Life and Health Sciences

Istanbul University, according to data by “QS World University Rankings by Subject” 2017, is at the top of the list in the field of “Life and Health Sciences” in Turkey.

“QS World University Rankings by Subject”, one of the world’s most respected university rankings, was released in 2017. In the list, which ranks the best universities in the world that are specialised in the field of “Life and Health Sciences”, Istanbul University ranked 345th in the world and 1st in Turkey.

In the ranking, world universities were evaluated according to four indicators in the form of scientific research, citation, academic prestige and employer opinion.

Rector Professor Mahmut Ak stated that Istanbul University is ranked among the best in many different national and international lists and continued, “Istanbul University owes its success in this challenging race to its disciplined, programmed and science-focused work. Istanbul University, which gives importance to social responsibility studies, offers education in many fields and graduates a significant amount of students every year. We are working day and night with all of our scientists aiming to get a higher ranking in this list. We will continue to work in an effort to open the way for the instructors who dedicate their lives to science. I would like to thank our faculty members, administrative staff, students and graduates, all of whom made it possible for us to rank in this list, and I sincerely congratulate all of them.”
