High Demand to ‘İÜYÖS-2021’ at 25 Exam Centers

Istanbul University International Student Exam (İÜYÖS-2021) was held on 10 July 2021 with an intensive participation in 25 exam centers, 12 of which were domestic and 13 of which were foreign.


İÜYÖS is organized every year for international students by Istanbul University, which is the most established Higher Education Institution in Turkey and is among the “top 500 universities” in the world ranking.

Istanbul University, the most experienced university in exams for international students in Turkey, held İÜYÖS-2021 on 10th July,2021 which was conducted face-to-face by taking measures in accordance with the conditions of the COVID-19 epidemic. 16,884 candidates applied for the exam and 15,494 candidates participated in the exam. Turkish, Arabic, German, English, French, Russian and 6 different language options were offered to the candidates in İÜYÖS-2021. 8,001 of the candidates who took the exam were women and 7493 candidates were men, as in previous years.

The results of the İÜYÖS 2021 exam will be announced on Wednesday, 4th August. On the other hand, student candidates will be able to make their preferences between August 16 and August 24, 2021. The results of the İÜYÖS-2021 exam placement will be announced to the candidates on September 02, 2021. Candidates have the right to apply for the quotas of 84 different universities in Turkey, in addition to the international student quotas of Istanbul University with the points they receive from İÜYÖS-2021.

High Interest in Istanbul University at YÖK Virtual Fair

On July 27-29, 2021, from 08:00 am to 20:00 pm (Turkish time), the Virtual Higher Education Fair was organized by the Higher Education Council under the name “Study in Turkey YÖK Virtual Fair 2021”. This Fair was held in order to introduce the Turkish higher education system to potential international students. The Fair was held in digital environment due to the limited mobility because of the global epidemic of COVID-19.

Through the YÖK Virtual Fair-2021, Turkish universities promoted themselves to potential students of higher education age in about 180 countries through visual and auditory materials and live connection and instant messaging. Istanbul University, which hosts the most foreign students in Turkey, also took part in the Virtual Fair of YÖK with a wide range of content. ‘Study In Turkey- YÖK Virtual Fair’ was held for the first time last year. At the YÖK Virtual Fair 2021, there was a lot of interest in Istanbul University. At Istanbul University stand, English promotional film, English promotional brochures, images from the Campus and the Rector of our University, Prof. Dr. Mahmut Ak's message were included. During the Virtual Fair, the questions asked by students about their undergraduate, graduate and doctoral education were answered through the system simultaneously.
